
Franklin Track and Field



The Franklin Girls Track Team captured the Hockomock League Championship Meet for the third consecutive year. Sarah Dumas won 3 events and broke her own school record in the 400M Hurdles. Other champions included Lily DeForge (Discus), Liz Hopkins (Javelin) and the 4x400 Relay Team (Bruno M, Costa O, Cliff A, Holland G). Under difficult conditions the Panthers had an outstanding meet.

On Tuesday, May 9th after the meet against North Attleboro, the Franklin Track team and the Boosters Club will recognize the current crop of graduating seniors. Athletes will should plan on attending the short ceremony after the meet. Upcoming meets: Friday, May 12th - Twilight Meet Tuesday, May 16th - at Milford

Both the boys and the girls teams picked up wins against Attleboro in the first dual meet of the season. The boys lead by Tyler Apicella, Josh Diehl, and Jake Vaccarezza won by a score of 16-45. The girls posted a complete shut out of the Blue Bombardiers winning by a score of 15-50 and were lead by Fiona Morrison, Artemisia Saparoff, and Ashley Tighe. The next meet is at Taunton HS on Tuesday, September 20th at 3:45pm
